The Reforms of Levant Will Realize the Idea of Great Israel by: Eugene Gershman
Let us imagine following political and economic construction. Relations between Israel and surrounding states are friendly. All these countries are fast developed and prosper. They form Levantine Union analogous to European Union. Israel is its financial, technological, and political center and uses resources of all the region. Unrealizable fiction? What does obstruct its realization?
In previous times, the USSR stimulated animosity in the region. Already 16 years passed after its destruction, but the hostility does not cease. Why? Another factor has become its motive. Political parties use support of population to obtain authority. In poor countries, they can get this support by means of a dispensing of resources or by means of an excitation of mass spite against some enemies. The dispensing of resources is too expensive. Therefore, politicians use an artificial hatred.
In Arabian countries, Israel ideally meets a role of a fictitious enemy. It is a rich country, a medium of other culture and religion, a bygone rival. Thus, in the modern age, political systems of Arabian countries make the dependence of the governments on support of population. Therefore, the systems are the basic factor of Arabian cultivated aggressiveness against Israel.
Let us assume that a government does not depend on support of population. This government does not create fictitious enemies and does not cultivate mass hatred, because it does not need this. First of all, the government is interested in the effective economy. Therefore, it develops a collaboration and friendship with surrounding countries.
In a social democratic republic, each adult citizen has one voice at elections, i.e. all citizens have equal influence to the authority. Legislative influence of each political party is equal to the number of its voters. Therefore, the government depends on support of the population. In a bourgeois republic, influence of a citizen to the authority is equal to his/her material contribution to his/her political party fund. Legislative influence of each party is equal to its financial contribution to the state budget. Therefore, the government does not depend on the population and acts in interests of the bourgeoisie. Bourgeois parties pass laws, which optimize conditions of enterprise and promote collaboration with adjacent countries.
A country political system is determined by the properties of the country economy. The economies of the Arabian Levantine countries correspond to a bourgeois republic.
The Ba'th Party dictatorship is in Syria. Its functionaries already have lost the ideological enthusiasm. They want to convert Syria into a republic, and their political status into money. The Western politicians urge them to establish the social democratic republic. In this case, big part of the national economy will be destroyed, and most of the Ba'th functionaries will lose their high public statuses and properties. Therefore, the Ba'th rejects the democratization. Let us propose the Ba'th Party to establish the bourgeois republic for 5-7 years. In this case, most of its functionaries will preserve their high statuses and will increase their riches. Therefore, most likely, the Ba'th will realize such reforms. Its political need to conflict with Israel will disappear. The economic interests of Syrian bourgeoisie will force the government to collaboration and friendly relations with Israel.
On democratic elections in Lebanon, the Shiite poor will give authority to Hezbollah. However, if the bourgeois republic will be established in Lebanon, the government will have normal economic interests. It will destroy Hezbollah and other extremists. Lebanon will collaborate with Israel too.
Establishing the bourgeois republic in Palestine is utterly simple, because Palestinian government completely depends on the Western financing. The West must give the money only to pro-Western parties.
Egyptian bourgeoisie also wants to establish the bourgeois republic in order to optimize economic conditions in the country and to remove Islamic extremists.
Thus, establishing the bourgeois republics in Levantine Arabian countries will end the hostility against Israel very rapidly. For several years, Levant will become a peaceful, opulent, swiftly developing region with the center in Israel. Such Levant will realize the idea of "Great Israel". ###
