Peres e Israel atacados no S. América

On the other hand these deranged fanatics, many Muslim evidently, only do these things against Israel. No other president of any other country receives such a poisonous reception on an official visit to any world capitol. And of course it calls to mind the saying from the bible about “a people that dwells alone”. Sadly for us, there isn’t just one source for this hostility. Palestinian propaganda and incitement probably represent the lion’s share. The radical anti Zionist left wing adds its share, but their agenda doesn’t square piece by piece with the Palestinians I think. The Palestinian cause just serves their purposes. Human Wrongs Organizations like Human Rights Watch and Amnesty take up the cudgel against us of course and many are influenced by their seemingly authoritative assessments and accusations. The whore house on First Avenue is obviously a big contributor, but this is because of the unrelenting Arab predominance there at every level. And I believe the Muslim/Arab world would hate Israel even without the Palestinian pretext. So these unfortunate demonstrations in Argentina and Brazil attacking Israel’s president may be insignificant in real terms, despite the trumpeted stories, but there’s no disputing that this expression of hatred and vicious baseless abuse is sadly only the tip of the iceberg. And for purposes of combating this phenom foreign ministry hasbara isn’t even a drop in the bucket.
Abu Mazen’s Lies

ABU MAZEN’S LIES
BY yonatan silverman
In yesterday’s Ma’ariv there’s an interview with PA Chairman Abu Mazen, and the quote plastered on the front page is: “Bibi Is Harming The Peace Process?”. This is obviously a lie. But it’s also obviously unfeasible for Abbas to state the true reason. The reason there is no peace process with the Palestinians is that the Palestinians themselves are a house divided against itself. The Hamas / Fatah split between Gaza and The West Bank is like a body whose upper half has been severed from the lower. Not viable. But this has nothing to do with anything for which Israel is responsible. The impasse over beginning peace negotiations is solely caused by the Hamas Fatah (Gaza/West Bank) split. The split paralyzes and emasculates any logical effort to achieve a Palestinian state. So negotiations aiming toward such a Palestinian state are meaningless. No point whatsoever. The result can be nothing but a miscarriage. Of course no Palestinian leader could admit this in a million years. Only the aging and dotty Hosni Mubarak actually believes Gaza and the West Bank will ever be reunited. There is no chance that Gaza and the West Bank will ever be reunited. So the point is there will just never be a viable peace process between Israel and the Palestinians. The peace process the US administration is promoting now is nothing but the Emperor’s New Clothes. You know, the King believes his tailors have dressed him in the most dignified finery – but he is stark raving nude.
PA Elections Postponed

THE THREAT WAS WITHDRAWN
ELECTIONS POSTPONED – ABU MAZEN STAYING
After Announcing With Great Fanfare That He Is Resigning The PA Leader Found A Ladder That Will Enable Him To Come Down From The Tree
By Amit Cohen
Palestinian Authority chairman, Abu Mazen, won’t resign from his post in January – as he threatened to do last week.
An official in Abu Mazen’s office said that if elections are not organized in the Palestinian Authority, as seems to be the case now, Abu Mazen will continue to fill the post until further notice. Yesterday the Palestinian Election Commission announced that it recommends postponing the elections, because Hamas will not permit elections to take place in the Gaza Strip.
In a dramatic speech Abu Mazen delivered last week he declared that he has no intention to run again for the chairman’s post. The announcement, which was interpreted as a conclusive desire to resign from his post, caused much confusion in the PA leadership and Fatah, since there is no natural successor to Abu Mazen. In recent days Abu Mazen has been subjected to much pressure to take back his decision. But officially he refused to do so. Senior PA officials stated that Abu Mazen will not change his mind, if Israel and the US don’t concede to the Palestinians with respect to the negotiations.
Yesterday afternoon the Palestinian Authority received the ladder that enabled it to descend from the tree. Dr. Hana Natzer, head of the election commission, convened a press conference and announced officially that he is recommending postponement of the elections, that were supposed to take place on January 24 2010, on account of the measures Hamas has taken against the elections. Natzer even phoned Abu Mazen and apprised him about the decision.
Palestinian officials assessed that Abu Mazen faces two options now. The first is to declare Gaza an insurgent zone, and hold elections only in the West Bank. The chances of that happening are small and Abu Mazen himself has announced in the past that no elections will take place without Gaza. The second option is to postpone the elections until there is a reconciliation agreement, and to remain in his post until the elections are held.
